A Eulogy for Skip Weatherford, a True Metaphysician
December 20th, 2017
Rev. Charles T. “Skip” Weatherford passed away on October 12th, 2017 at the age of 84. In the nearly 20 years I knew Skip, he was my friend, my teacher, an inspiration to me, and my peer. I felt we were two of a kind, and that ‘kind’ is what I want to tell you about today.
Skip was a man of God.
He intuitively understood Universal Laws, the “do unto others” or “as you sow so shall you reap.” As his loved ones can tell you, he lived these laws and he became these laws. As his wife Harriet says, “he walked his talk.”
He was a Metaphysician, as in “higher than the physical.” He was born knowing how the world works. He saw life from a higher plane, and taught from this insight.
When Skip was just 15, he discovered numerology in his hometown library, while looking for books on magic. When he was older, his career choices came from his commitment to help others through a series of service and teaching positions: the military, acting, teaching in public schools, and working with troubled youngsters. He manifested his knowledge and love with a lifetime of helping others.
From the time I first knew him, I could see that when he wanted to help someone, he would choose from his occult or therapeutic tools to fit the circumstance. As you may know, that included Tarot, Numerology, Hypnotherapy, Past-Life Regression, and the work of Edgar Cayce, the renowned psychic. In about 2003, Skip added being an interfaith minister to his tool box, when he asked me to ordain him in the spiritual Order of Melchizedek. Even though I held pre-ordination classes at my spiritual center, he was more than qualified. Being ordained was how he manifested his commitment to God in the world.
If you believe in reincarnation, you might understand how Skip was immediately open and available to you when you first met him. It was as if you had known him before, and you could just pick up where you left off. Though I have memories from past lifetimes, I didn’t need to know where or when I knew him before because it didn’t really matter. He was here and so was I.
As my husband Joe says, Skip inspired people to go beyond their limitations, even when they had written off the rest of their own lives. Skip knew when there was more work to do, and he told you so. And as for me, he inspired me to keep going with my Spiritual Work. We had a Spiritual Working Relationship.
So where did our beloved Skip go?
Now that he’s gone to the Light, he’s probably had a joyful reunion with loved ones who went on before. After a period of adjustment and rest, he’ll settle in to his light body and his new surroundings. He’ll learn teleportation and visit areas of unspeakable beauty while communicating by thought. Later with his spirit guides’ help, he’ll review his life as Skip and make his own personal judgements on how he lived his 84 years. And if I have it right, he’ll start to be known as Tamuz, his spiritual name.
Eventually he’ll be looking around for something to do, so this is where you all come in. Through whatever way you contact him, by talking, prayer or thought, he’ll be in a good position to help his loved ones. We all have a Spirit Team that helps us in our daily lives. You can ask him to join your Team and call on him as needed.
Skip Weatherford lived a life of Love and Service. I will keep in my heart the twinkle in his eyes, and the way you could see the Light and Love of God there.
He will always be a great blessing in my life.
And I will always cherish the way he answered the phone: “Well HELLO there!” in his Walter Pidgeon voice.
